Accessibility

This site has to stay usable by everyone

A statement describing what the site actually does, not what it would like to do. If something blocks you, tell us: it goes to the front of the queue.

Where we stand

We aim for level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1). The site has not been audited externally, so we do not claim certified conformance: we describe a state we check ourselves, honestly, below.

Aloha Pixel is a micro-enterprise, and as such the European accessibility directive does not impose these obligations on it. We hold to them anyway: a shop that part of the population cannot use is a failed shop, whatever the law requires.

What is in place, and verifiable

  • Pages are plain HTML: they display and read in full even when JavaScript does not run. No content is hidden waiting for a script, and that was measured page by page.
  • Animations respect the system's reduced-motion setting: animated scenes then never start at all, and scroll reveals are neutralised.
  • Keyboard navigation works across the site, with a visible focus indicator, and interactive areas keep a comfortable target size.
  • The site renders in light and dark, and the visitor's choice always wins over the default preference.
  • Text follows the browser's size and the layout holds without horizontal overflow down to small screens, verified across every built page.
  • Forms carry explicit labels and announce errors in words, not by colour alone.
  • Anti-spam protection is invisible: no captcha to solve, no image to decipher, no audio to listen to.
  • The whole site exists in French and English, and every page declares its language.

What we do not guarantee

  • No external audit has been carried out: gaps most likely exist, and we would rather say so than display a conformance nobody has checked.
  • The theme demos, served on separate subdomains, are demonstration sites: their content is fictional and their accessibility has not been checked with the same care as the shop.
  • Pages hosted by our providers, the Stripe payment page and the invoices, follow their own level of accessibility, which is not ours to control.

Reporting an obstacle

Write to contact@alohapixel.com describing the page and what blocked you. We answer within three to five business days, and a reported obstacle comes before the rest of the queue.

If a page prevents you from reaching information or completing a purchase, say so: we will provide the information or carry out the operation another way, by email or by phone on +33 9 85 03 43 20.
